Welcome to The Little Cactus: the school book years! This is where we get a sneak peek at some of the work that he gets up to during his day at school.

I'm really looking forward to showing you all a collection of his drawings from these books, as I've only recently seen them myself - and of course I think they are brilliant!

ME
"I have got brown eyes. I have got blonde hair. I like going in the garden."



NEWS
"I found my teddy on the ceiling! I got a ladder and I got him down."



MONDAY 3rd DECEMBER
"The weekend I watched Shrek at the cinema. I had tea at home. I went into town and went to see the Christmas lights."



THE TROLL
"The Troll sat upon the wall, that was hungry and wanted to eat a Billy Goat Gruff. He lived under the bridge. He had a long nose. He was fierce. He was angry!"

2006-2007 (4-5 years old)

There seems to be a couple years of drawings 'temporarily unavailable' (definitely not lost!), so will move ahead a bit.

I'm loving the start of his people taking shape - even to the point of Star Wars characters having a lightsaber fight....let the force be with you, Ashley! :-)

One of my favourite pics is the one below, which has a pride of place in my sisters kitchen - "A Dog Has Four Legs", genius!

Keep an eye out for the next post as we start to go through his early school books. Included will be an awesome Shrek picture, so watch this space.

2002-2004 (1-2 years old)

Welcome to the 1st post of The Little Cactus! This is where I will be uploading images that my nephew Ashley has done (in as much order as I can), then he will eventually be able to take over when he gets a bit older. I think it's a nice way to be able to see the progress of his artistic skills and styles, almost from day one!
